Today I would like to share with you an interview with Susana. She is a small business owner, with 3 kids and a young horse named Fun. She has used her blog and social media to create the results she wanted in her business.
Her business is called You&Me Equestrians, it is an online shop that sells riding equipment for you and your hors. Her website is www.youandmeequestrians.com.
The business is based in Andora. She built everything herself, from her followers all the way to her website. At the moment her business is more of a side business, as she is still working for bank as an accountant manager. She started her business nearly a year ago, riding horse has been her passion for the last 18 years and she wanted to do something a little different.
Susana makes her business special by personalizing the sale. She will go to meet her customers at their homes or hotel. So, people order the product from her online shop and she will then take the product to them in person, so they can see what they are buying.
Having a good relationship with her customers is very important for her.
Susana goes to two different riding classes; everyone knows her there. She uses her connections to her advantage, by asking her friends in the riding classes what they think of her products. She gets honest and useful feedback, which she then uses for her online shop. This way she finds out what people can really use and what they prefer.
Her customers mainly find her through Google. Susana uses her blog about horses to attract her customers. She writes about all things regarding horses, how to dress, brush your horses and lots more. Each blog post will give tips and tricks every rider needs or likes to read. Her main customers are people who live in Andorra. Sometimes customers come from Spain, but they are usually traveling or are on holiday.
To offer her customers more personal communication, Susana created a WhatsApp group. In this group they can ask Susana questions, it can be about her products and also about horses. These group is where Susana gets inspiration to write her blog articles. As the group started in summer it only has 46 people in it (at the moment of the interview in november 2019) , but quality trumps quantity. The people who are in the WhatsApp group are new and frequent customers and people who are interested in horses, Susana invites people into the group, only if they are interested. She will write once a week (every Wednesday) in the group, usually it is to tell people that her new blog is up.
She also uses email marketing to do this, but not everyone reads their emails and so you can reach more people who are actually interested through WhatsApp.
To help reach more people Susana also has an Instagram and Facebook page. You can find both pages under the company name. Here she also posts once a week in, she will talk about her blog posts, her products and her own horse.
When Susana wants to think about something new or needs to brainstorm new ideas, she will go for a ride in the mountains. Her future goal is to create her own brand, with a line of horse brushes.
I will definitely be keeping an eye open for Susana and I look forward to seeing her new blog articles and of course her upcoming brand.
